The aerospace-grade aluminum chassis presents solid, yet refined. Clean and understated, with a premium tactile feel. The metal chassis provides natural shielding, reducing external interference for a quieter background and greater clarity. More than a chassis, it becomes part of the listening experience, unifying form and sound.
The DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 pairs the AK4191EQ digital processor with the AK4499EXEQ DAC, allowing each stage of the signal path to be optimized for maximum precision. Ensuring precise processing at every stage of the signal path. From lossless formats such as FLAC, WAV, and APE to DSD512 playback. More musical details are preserved, with a quieter background and greater separation. Combined with AKM’s Velvet Sound™ technology, Vocals, instruments, and spatial imaging become more natural and engaging.
A dual-power architecture separates power supply for digital and analog sections. Power paths are isolated at the source to reduce cross-circuit interference. When power is compromised, detail is lost and dynamics are constrained. A cleaner power foundation ensures stable operation of the DAC and analog circuits.
The linear power supply achieves an ultra-low 20μV noise floor, preserving subtle signal variations. Removed constraints allow the sound to fully unfold.
DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 is equipped with a low phase noise OCXO (Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator), keeping the audio clocks at a stable operating temperature, minimizing frequency drift caused by environmental changes, with jitter controlled below 50 fs, providing a precise and stable clock for accurate playback. Greater clarity and spatial definition. Natural reproduction of musical detail.
The advanced PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) technology stabilizes and synchronizes the clock signal, reducing detail loss caused by jitter. Detail reproduction becomes more stable, with more natural and complete preservation of sound edges and micro-details. Maintaining a comfortable listening experience even during long sessions and dynamic changes in music.
DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 features built-in HDMI ARC/eARC, supporting lossless audio return from TVs and projectors. Transform TV audio into a true Hi-Fi home theater experience.
Equipped with Qualcomm QCC3095 flagship Bluetooth audio receiver module. Bluetooth 5.4 ensures stable and efficient wireless connectivity. Quick connection with phones, tablets, and computers for everyday wireless playback while still delivering refined and engaging sound.
DMP-A8 Master Gen 2 supports mainstream file-sharing protocols including SMB, NFS, and WebDAV. Connect effortlessly to NAS, private cloud, and network storage devices. Whether your music is stored locally, in the cloud, or on a home server, your entire library is easy to access and manage. No more switching between devices or folders—everything stays organized in one place.
